Frequently Asked Questions About UV DTF Wraps for Tumblers

Are UV DTF wraps dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is recommended to maximize longevity, as dishwashers and hot water can weaken the adhesive over time.

Is application difficult? Can I reposition the wrap?

UV DTF adhesive is very strong—once it touches the surface, you cannot remove and reposition it without damaging the design.

*Tips for success: Clean the surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, let it sit dry for approx. 10 minutes, apply firm pressure from the center outward to remove bubbles, and peel the backing slowly at a diagonal angle.

Common mistake: If the wrap lifts at edges or feels brittle/flaky, it usually means application wasn't done correctly or surface prep was poor

Can UV DTF wraps be removed later?

Yes, they can peel off, but they may leave some adhesive residue that can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol.

Best removal is use a plastic scrapper and slow and firm scrap a little by a little at the corner of the artwork.

They are designed to be permanent once properly applied, so removal is not guaranteed to be clean or easy, surface might be damaged if not done carefully.

What surfaces do UV DTF wraps work on?

Great on: Smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces like stainless steel tumblers, glass, plastic, coated ceramics, and metal .

Avoid: Textured surfaces like frosted or shimmer finishes, as adhesion may fail. Sublimation-coated tumblers work, but the coating can sometimes peel if application is incorrect.

No heat press needed: Just peel, stick, and smooth.
